What we will and will not process.
We would rather be explicit and lose applicants than be vague and offboard merchants later. This policy is applied at screening and enforced for the life of the account.
Prohibited businesses
We do not onboard, and will offboard, merchants engaged in any of the following:
- Illegal goods, services, or activity of any kind
- Controlled substances, and any product marketed as an alternative to one
- Prescription pharmaceuticals, pharmacy services, and prescription fulfilment
- Any product marketed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease
- Counterfeit goods and intellectual-property infringement
- Adult services and sexually explicit content
- Gambling, betting, and games of chance for money
- Multi-level marketing, pyramid, and matrix schemes
- Debt collection, credit repair, and debt settlement
- Unregistered money transmission, and virtual-currency exchange for third parties
- Shell entities, and businesses whose ownership or operations cannot be verified
- Any business that misrepresents what it sells, to us or to its customers
Restricted businesses
The categories below are permitted only under enhanced review, and only where the stated conditions are met and remain met. Enhanced review means the screening described in our compliance programme is applied more strictly, monitoring is more frequent, and account limits may apply.
| Category | Conditions |
|---|---|
| Nutraceuticals and dietary supplements | Accurate labelling; no disease claims; substantiation for any health assertion. |
| Analytical reference materials and research chemicals sold for laboratory use | Sold and described for laboratory or analytical use only; no human-use or dosing instructions; certificates of analysis published where purity is asserted; purchase eligibility enforced server-side. |
| Cosmetics and topical products | No drug claims; ingredient disclosure. |
| Hemp-derived and CBD products | Permitted only where lawful in the jurisdictions sold to; third-party testing published. |
| Subscription and continuity billing | Terms disclosed before purchase; self-service cancellation; no negative-option enrolment. |
| High-ticket coaching, education, and information products | No earnings claims; clear refund terms; delivery capability evidenced. |
| Firearms accessories and related non-regulated goods | No regulated items; jurisdiction restrictions enforced at checkout. |
Misrepresentation
The condition underneath every other condition: a merchant must be the same business to everyone who looks. Presenting one catalog to customers and another to search engines, processors or us is grounds for immediate offboarding regardless of what is being sold. Accurate description is not a formality here — it is the thing we are actually underwriting.
Changes after onboarding
Merchants must notify us before materially changing what they sell or how they describe it. We re-scan accounts periodically and after material site changes. A merchant whose site diverges from what was represented at onboarding may be paused pending review, and offboarded if the divergence is not corrected.
Enforcement
We may refuse an application, limit an account, pause processing, or terminate a merchant under this policy. Where the reason is remediable we will say what it is and what would resolve it. Where a merchant is offboarded, funds are settled in accordance with the terms of service and applicable reserve requirements.
Jurisdiction and law
This policy is a floor, not a ceiling. Merchants remain responsible for compliance with all laws applicable to their products in every jurisdiction they sell to, including licensing, labelling, import and advertising requirements. Nothing here is legal advice or approval of a merchant's regulatory position.
